Dodge Challenger flood victim?
Recently sold on eBay for $1,550
This 1971 Challenger looks like it might have been a flood victim. Check out the dirt right up to the belt line and those mud caked wheels and tire. It sure looks like it sat in water and sediment for a few days or even weeks. Which of course means lots of rust everywhere, even beyond the obvious in the front fenders, wheel wells and lower door skins.
The entire engine bay and underside of the hood is coated in flaking rust, mud and leaves. You can bet there's plenty more rust in the floor boards and trunk too. From a distance this looks like it might be a solid car, but up close you can see why it's been sitting for so long. Whoever bought it hopefully knows what they're doing. Maybe they're only looking for a parts car, in which case they probably won't be too disappointed. But if they're looking for a restoration candidate, I don't think this Challenger is it.
